Why are we here?

Cheesemakers and mongers, and pretty much anyone who works in artisinal food making or service, tend to crash┬áhome each day exhausted, barely dragging ourselves into the kitchen for a pint and a ploughman’s lunch for dinner. So keeping up with a blog alone is daunting and downright impossible for full time mongers.

However, the fact is that we have amazing cheese adventures. Adventures some of us can hardly believe we’re on. Adventures no amount of money can buy (ok, probably some amount of money could buy most of them). We get to taste cheeses before anyone else. We get to make cheese in mountain farms worthy of poetry and mythology. We get to meet people around the world who do what we do in nearly every country on the planet. We do these things because we love it.

And now we want to share them with you. By banding together on our international cheesemonger co-op blog, we give you a glimpse into the world of cheese, how hard, how beautiful, and how delicious it is.
